A Purbanchal Kalayatra-2070 BS (Eastern regional artistic journey) is to be held at Bhedetar of Dhankuta on Monday jointly organised by the Nepal Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), Departments of Handicraft and Painting.
Its exhibition will be held in Sunsari Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dharan, on Tuesday and Wednesday to be participated in by 50 artists of Pokhara, Hetauda, Kathmandu and the Eastern Region.
Academicians of NAFA, Karna Prasad Maskey, Shanta Kumar Rai and Gyanendra Bibash, senior artists Krishna Manandhar, Batsyayan, Buddhi Gurung, Alok Gurung, LP Gurung, Gopal Shrestha, Naresh Sundar Sainju, Hari Bahadur Khadka, Surendra Pradhan, Saurganga Darshandhari as well as a large number of artists of the Eastern Region including from Dharan, Dhankuta, Biratnagar, Pathari and Jhapa would participate in the workshop.
Academician Rai said that the workshop is going to be organised with an objective of making artists of different sectors aware and for sharing of technology and knowledge among artists.
The workshop is going to be organised in co-work of Hotel Association, Bhedetar, Dharan Municipality and Sunsari Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Such exhibition will also be held at NAFA in Kathmandu after Dharan.
There will be one-day handicraft competition in school level during the exhibition and the best students will be awarded, said the NAFA departments. RSS
