Flights diverted as TIA runway falls apart

All flights bound for Tribhuvan International Airport ( TIA ) have been diverted after a section of the runway collapsed on Sunday afternoon.

Incoming flights had to be diverted after the delta south intersection of the country's only international airport felled apart.

The problem in the runway has also delayed the scheduled flight time of domestic aircrafts.

Problems with the runway had occurred in the past too forcing flights to be either diverted or cancelled.
