Maternity services resume at Kosi Hospital

Biratnagar, Aug. 14: Maternity service at Kosi Zone Hospital has resumed since Tuesday. The hospital management had closed the service for five days due to the lack of doctors.

The service has resumed after a new doctor was appointed. The Ministry of Health had sent two obstetricians and gynecologists in two weeks but recalled them within a week. The maternity service at the hospital was affected due to this change, said Dr Umakanta Jha, Medical Superintendent at the hospital.

Various organizations here had also submitted a memorandum to the District Administration Office calling or resuming the maternity service at the hospital. RSS
