Seven persons have been killed in floods and landslide at Khimti Bazaar of Ramechhap district on Tuesday morning.
It has been reported that floods and landslides took place after the level of a local stream increased due to incessant rainfall since 11 last night.
Three persons of Khmiti-2, one of ward-2 and three of ward-4 lost their lives in the landslides.
Meanwhile, six persons have been injured in the incident. They have been ferried for the treatment at a hospital in Girnetaar of Dolakha district.
The flood has also swept away the bridge joining the Pushpalal Marg. Large numbers of security personnel have been deployed in the area for the rescue operation.
